The Attorney General's Office for the National Treasury published, on June 17, 2020, Ordinance PGFN No. 14,402, of June 16, 2020, which "establishes the conditions for exceptional transactions in the collection of the Union's active debt, due to the effects of the pandemic caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) on the prospect of receiving registered credits.".
Furthermore, according to Article 8 of the Ordinance, "credits administered by the Attorney General's Office of the National Treasury are eligible for exceptional settlement in the collection of the Union's active debt, even if they are in the stage of a filed execution or subject to a previously rescinded installment plan, with enforceability suspended or not, whose updated value to be subject to negotiation is equal to or less than R$ 150,000,000.00 (one hundred and fifty million reais).".
Adherence to the exceptional transaction proposal formulated by the PGFN must be done through the portal. REGULARIZE (www.regularize.pgfn.gov.br), in up to 133 months, with the installment not being less than R$ 100.00, in the case of individual taxpayers, sole proprietors, micro-enterprises or small businesses, and R$ 500.00, in other cases.
