The Brazilian Federal Revenue Service publishes new procedures for Customs Transit. According to the agency, the changes should ensure greater speed and reduced costs for the sector.

:: The main measures adopted that enabled the progress were ::

The creation of the Document Attachment functionality that supports the Customs Transit Declaration (DTA)

The new functionality allows for the direct receipt of documents via the system by the Federal Revenue Service customs authority, or automatically, as appropriate.

The integration of the Siscomex Portal and Siscomex Transit systems allows for the submission of the DTA (Customs Transit Declaration) along with digitized documents (linking the DTA to the dossier containing the documentation).

The guidance provided to stakeholders by the Customs Transit Manual on the Revenue Service website, especially in the sections on Document Attachment and DT Receipt, details the new procedures for everyone.

The publication of Normative Instruction RFB No. 1,918, which makes adjustments to the text of IN SRF No. 248/2002 that regulates the customs transit regime, making it compatible with the new procedures.
