On March 4th, 2026, we attended the APET – Associação Paulista de Estudos Tributários (São Paulo Association of Tax Studies) meeting for a technical and deeply relevant debate on the repeal of the 1% fine for tax classification errors, by LC 227/2026.

The meeting brought together leading legal experts in the field and reaffirmed the importance of qualified spaces for dialogue to foster the development of interpretations, legal certainty, and the improvement of the tax/customs system.
