If the opposite occurs, a trade deficit is recorded.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>With the increase at the beginning of this month, the country expanded its accumulated surplus for the year to US$29.55 billion through the first week of June \u2013 a growth of 55.31%, based on the daily average, compared to the period from January to June 2020.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>This outcome reflects exports totaling US$113.49 billion, an increase of US$321, and imports totaling US$83.94 billion, an increase of US$25.41. The data was released on June 7, 2021, by the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) of the Ministry of Economy.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Among other factors, the numbers are related to strong global demand
