{"id":2413,"date":"2019-05-24T18:58:44","date_gmt":"2019-05-24T21:58:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dbtesser.siteup.dev\/pratica-de-dumping-nas-exportacoes\/"},"modified":"2019-05-24T18:58:44","modified_gmt":"2019-05-24T21:58:44","slug":"dumping-practices-in-exports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dbtesser.com.br\/en\/pratica-de-dumping-nas-exportacoes\/","title":{"rendered":"Dumping Practices in Exports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Explaining concepts<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtesser.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/DUMPING-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-229\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Dumping is considered to occur when a company exports a product to Brazil at a price lower than that practiced in the domestic market for similar products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Export Price:<\/strong>&nbsp;<em>The export price will be the price actually paid or payable for the product exported to Brazil. This price should, in principle, be the ex-factory price (i.e., without taxes) and payable in cash.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;Alternatives to the export price<\/strong>: <em>If the export price may raise doubts due to an existing association or agreement between the exporter and the importer or a third party, the export price may be constructed from the importer&#039;s resale price to the first independent buyer.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, if the products are not resold to an independent buyer, or are not resold in the same condition in which they were imported, the export price may be determined using any other method, provided it is duly justified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dumping margin:<\/strong>&nbsp;<em>It is the difference between the normal value and the export price. For this difference to be calculated, a fair comparison must be made between the export price and the normal value in effect during the period established for investigating the existence of dumping. The WTO recommends that this period should normally be one year and never less than six months.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If the product is not exported directly from the country of origin, the export price will be compared to the normal price found in the intermediary country.
