In a recent announcement released by the Federal Revenue Service, it was reported that the Management Committee of the Simples Nacional (CGSN) approved Resolution CGSN No. 152, of March 18, 2020, which extends the deadline for payment of federal taxes under the Simples Nacional regime.
This measure also applies to Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEI), and is part of the package to minimize the economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
Therefore, the federal taxes calculated in the Simplified National Tax Collection Document Generator Program – Declaratory (PGDAS-D) and the DAS Generator Program for Individual Microentrepreneurs (PGMEI) have been extended as follows:
I – The reporting period of March 2020, originally due on April 20, 2020, is now due on October 20, 2020.;
II – The April 2020 Assessment Period, originally due on May 20, 2020, is now due on November 20, 2020; and
III– The assessment period of May 2020, originally due on June 22, 2020, is now due on December 21, 2020.
The assessment period of February 2020, due on March 20, 2020, remains unchanged.
An Executive Declaratory Act from the Special Secretariat of the Federal Revenue of Brazil will guide the operational procedures to be adopted by taxpayers to comply with the effects of the Resolution.
